Played a nice course in Stafford, VA yesterday with Da Sheriff, Huggy Bear, and Big $$. Really enjoyed the course AND the competition (from Da Sheriff).
I was up 3 at the turn and extended the lead to 5-strokes after 12. But, as you know, you can NEVER count Clay Norris out. He made a formidable charge -- going 2 over the rest of the way (13-18). I was holding on for dear life after taking a 6 on the par 3 14th (I know, right?) But, I was able to settle down and make a couple critical shots. The outcome wasn't decided until the final hole. To match his par on 18 (yeah, Scottie was working yesterday) I had to drain a 5 foot right to left putt for par to hold on to my 1-stroke lead and seal the victory.
