Overall a decent round. Driving was a challenge today, it was like days of old with the slicey slicey. Approaches were average at best but my scrambling was good as was my putting. Also great weather!! Crazy that we played it in just 3 hours and 25 min. 😳

I want to comment on pace of play. I feel anything longer the 5 hours for a round is too long, things start to drag on a bit after that much time. Today we played in 3hr 25mins. That’s also ridiculous. What happened to a round being 4hr 20mins? I didn’t get the memo regarding a normal round being less then 3.5 hours. It’s not like we had the course to ourselves and chose to play fast. We had groups ahead and behind and everyone was geared to a less then 3.5 hour round. Havent played in Selkirk for a while, it’s a nice well groomed course. I didn’t play badly at all. Hit good drives and solid approaches. The par 5’s ate me alive partially because they are very long and all were into the wind. Great day, just wish I could have played a bit slower to really enjoy the day.Aug 20, 2019 Details
