Really struggled off the tee for the first part of the day. Driver and 5H both toppy and bad. Found a groove starting on 7 — not perfect but better. Very wet course, 6+ in of rain yesterday. Did not affect me much, couple chunks but much more thin contact.

Really tough on the back (my first 9). Nervous? Much easier on the back and more fun. Reminder that the course is shorter and narrower than you remember. Drove into hazard on 10 with 2H, hit a couple very good drives that ended up in trees b/c they overshot landing area. OB on 17 and 8 on shots that would’ve stayed in at Tanglewood.
