Interesting, I am also thinking about changing my desk, as long hours of sitting in front of a screen are taking their toll. I have not thought about height adjustable desks before, but after hearing about the benefits, I want to try them. My back pain is already starting to get in the way, so I think this is a worthwhile investment. I just need to decide how comfortable it will be to work standing up, as sometimes I have to do paperwork. But if it really helps, maybe I will try one too.

I have been using a ProgressiveDesk for six months now, and it has been a great investment. Before I bought this adjustable desk, I had constant back pain, especially in the lower back. I worked in an office where I sat at a desk for 8-10 hours without the ability to stand up. At some point, I realized that I couldn’t do without changes. I started looking at height-adjustable desks, and I settled on the ProgressiveDesk. And I can say that it’s really worth it. First of all, the most important thing is posture. When you sit in one position for a long time, the body begins to compensate for the tension and stretch in unnatural positions, which, of course, leads to pain. That’s exactly what happened to me. At some point, I realized that just sitting at a desk was no longer an option. With height adjustment, I was able to alternate between standing and sitting sessions. At first, of course, it was a little unusual to work standing, but after a couple of days I felt a real difference. My back did not hurt, and my energy remained throughout the workday. The desk can be adjusted to your height and personal preferences, which is very convenient. At first, I didn’t believe that simply changing your position could have such a big impact on your well-being, but it really does work. Also, if you work at a computer, standing can help you avoid computer stare syndrome, when you stare at a monitor for hours without moving your head. When I stand, I try to keep my back straight, and this helps prevent chronic fatigue. I have actually become more productive because I am less distracted and feel much less tired at the end of the day.

Interestingly, I recently read about PoE extenders from EnableIT and was actually thinking about buying one for one of my projects. The issue of long distances, especially when you need to transmit both power and data, has always been a problem. Of course, you can always use additional devices or lay new cables, but PoE extenders really save a lot of time and effort in this regard. As for the transmission speed, I agree that it is not only the quality of the extender that is important, but also the type of cable.

Compare PoE Extenders from EnableIT and I can say that they have justified themselves. Let's first figure out how they work and why they are needed at all. PoE (Power over Ethernet) extenders are devices that allow you to transmit both power and data over a single Ethernet cable over long distances. Typically, the Ethernet standard allows you to transmit a signal for 100 meters, but if necessary, you can use PoE extenders to increase this distance. In practice, this is an ideal solution for connecting devices such as CCTV cameras, Wi-Fi access points and other devices that require both power and data transmission, but are located far from the power source. Now about EnableIT. I used their extenders to transmit power and data over a distance of about 150 meters, and the result was quite stable. Of course, it is important to consider several factors. First, the cable itself plays a big role. If you use a good cable, such as Cat6 or Cat6a, then the extender will be able to work over long distances without problems. I used Cat6 with good shielding, and it gave excellent results. Secondly, the installation of the extenders themselves must be correct. Some users complain that they encounter problems at long distances if the cables are not shielded properly or if devices that require too much power consumption, such as high-resolution cameras, are installed.
