How to delete Other Volumes in a Mac Container

Deleting an Alternate APFS Volume
If you're sure you've found an invalid entry to delete and save data, you can use Disk Utility to delete an unwanted APFS volume from your Mac.

Here's how to get rid of excess MacOS storage.
1. Run Disk Utility
2. Click the View icon and select Show All Devices
3. Select the volume you want to remove and mount if necessary
4. Press Ctrl and click Enter and select Delete APFS folder
5. Confirm by clicking Delete
When the processing is finished, you can check the storage space again, macOS should take space. Wipe the drive and reinstall macOS.
If your Mac is particularly stubborn about storage, you can repair other partitions. Clean up your hard drive and resolve storage issues by reinstalling a working system. This step is a last resort and rarely necessary. However, sometimes you have to uninstall and reinstall.
